Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about working together
Getting Started
Do you offer in-person or virtual therapy?
I offer both. In-person sessions take place at my office in Center City, Philadelphia. I also work with clients across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio using a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform.

How do I schedule a first appointment?
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can briefly discuss your goals and see whether working together feels like a good fit. You can request a consultation using the “Book Free Consultation” button, or by calling or emailing directly.

What should I expect in the first session?
The first session is focused on understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll review relevant history, clarify your goals, and begin mapping out the direction of our work.
Fees, Insurance & Payment
What is your fee?
My fee is $200 for a 50-minute individual session.

Do you accept insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance companies directly. However, many clients are able to use their out-of-network benefits for partial reimbursement. I provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance company.

If you’re unsure about your coverage, I’m happy to discuss it during our consultation.

Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards are accepted.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit cards only. Before your first session, you’ll be asked to provide card details, which are stored securely through the payment system. I do not have access to your full card information.

Do you offer a sliding scale?
I don’t offer a sliding scale. This allows me to maintain consistency and clarity across the practice.
Scheduling & Cancellations
How long are sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Extended sessions may be available when clinically appropriate, especially for EMDR.

How often will we meet?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. We can adjust frequency based on your needs, schedule, and stage of treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged at the full session rate.
EMDR Therapy
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy for trauma, anxiety, and related challenges. It helps people process distressing experiences without having to relive every detail.

Music Therapy
What is music therapy?
Music therapy is a clinical, research-informed approach that uses music to support emotional regulation, trauma recovery, and psychological growth. It may include listening to, creating, or responding to music. No musical training or “talent” is required. Music therapy can be especially useful when emotions feel difficult to put into words.
